The desk is raised upon beautifully carved ogee feet, with an arrangement of nine mahogany-lined drawers, retaining their original decorative brass ring-pull handles. The central kneehole is enhanced by finely carved brackets, adding further refinement and character to the design.
The generously proportioned top features attractive carved mouldings and is fitted with a green leather writing surface, beautifully finished with hand-applied gilt and blind tooling.
