A handsome Victorian mahogany twin pedestal desk, standing on a plinth base and featuring a traditional arrangement of nine mahogany-lined drawers, providing ample storage. The drawers are fitted with decorative oval brass plate handles, complementing the desk's classic design.
The rectangular top is inset with a replacement green leather writing surface, finished with hand-applied gilt and blind tooling, offering an attractive and practical workspace.
The desk was professionally restored many years ago on the island of Colombo, and has been well cared for since. It is presented in good condition throughout, with a pleasing colour and patina, making it a fine addition to both a home and office setting.
